The famous Polish boxer surprised. Changes the “industry”

In April last year, Laura Grzyb became the European champion in professional boxing. The Pole has not lost a single fight in her career as a boxer, which is why she could slowly be considered among the world’s best. Meanwhile, sensational information was provided on Thursday! Grzyb joined the Polish FEN federation, where she will make her debut in the new MMA formula in mid-June.

10:0 – Laura Grzyb, who was once hailed by the media as the most beautiful Polish boxer, can boast of such a record in professional rings. Despite her excellent results in boxing, the 29-year-old has repeatedly emphasized that she may soon change her beloved discipline to a slightly different type of combat sports . And so it happened!

Laura Grzyb will make her MMA debut. What about her boxing career?

On Thursday evening, the FEN federation announced via social media that a recognized player would join its ranks. “The fair sex returns to FEN! On June 15 in Ostróda, Laura Grzyb will face Dominika Steczkowska! The fight will be based on kickboxing rules, in small gloves, with a weight limit of up to 57 kg,” we read. The fight will take place during the FEN 55 gala.

This is a very surprising move by the European boxing champion. After all, it is not very often that an active competitor with the prospect of a great career in boxing decides to change the formula and fight in MMA . Despite this, Laura Grzyb did as she announced. It has long been known that, especially in women’s and men’s boxing, on the Polish market, fighters cannot count on too high salaries. Organizational and logistical issues also often have nothing to do with professionalism.

– More and more representatives from the world of boxing are landing in other fighting formats. We’re talking about MMA and freak organizations here. Just look at the last FAME gala, where Krzysztof “Diablo” Włodarczyk was announced – said Maciej Turski in one of the last programs on Channel Sportowy, and then began to list other boxers who made a similar decision.

Interestingly, Grzyb’s fight in FEN does not mean the end of her boxing career. The athlete herself announced on InstaStories that she could still soon enter the ring and fight for the belt. – I’m calming down. I am still scheduled for the WBC eliminator and negotiations are ongoing, she wrote. This does not change the fact that in mid-June we will see her in the cage together with Dominika Steczkowska.

Is it good that Laura Grzyb is leaving boxing?
