Big scandal. Suspicious Ekstraklasa match. Boniek reveals

“Kamil Glik’s mysterious entry? Today I will give my interpretation to Kołtoń’s editor,” wrote Zbigniew Boniek on Sunday afternoon. And as he said, so he did. In the Truth of Futbolu program, the former president of the Polish Football Association explained the origins of the words of the former Polish representative, who, after a 0-2 defeat against Ruch Chorzów, wrote on social media that “he had been at the bottom many times, but he had never been humiliated so much.” What did Boniek think Glik meant? This is going to be a big scandal.

The last round of the top league was played on Saturday. Jagiellonia Białystok won the Polish championship , defeating Warta Poznań 3-0 at home in the 34th series of games . Cracovia also played the last match of the season, away against Ruch Chorzów, which was no longer playing for anything. The Silesian team was certain of relegation to the first league anyway . However, the Krakow club only fought for a higher place.

What did Glik mean? Boniek explains. “He felt incredibly humiliated.”

Ultimately, Ruch, which was disastrous this season, won against Cracovia 2-0 after two goals by Soma Novothna. In this way, Dawid Kroczek’s team only took 13th place in the table, which meant they lost the potential money they could have earned by taking a higher place. Taking into account the entire season, Cracovia did not perform well. She fought to stay alive almost until the end. At least that much has been achieved.

Just after the defeat against Ruch, Kamil Glik published a bitter post on social media. “I have been down many times, but I have never been humiliated like this…” wrote the 103-time representative of Poland. The words seemed to be a simple expression of frustration after defeat. However, Zbigniew Boniek provided sensational information on this topic.

The last two days were not the best for the president of Cracovia, colleague Dróżdż (Mateusz Dróżdż – ed.). I have nothing against him, I don’t know him. However, the truth is that apparently yesterday, that is, not apparently. It is known that he entered the locker room and had a terrible grudge against the players, that they probably did their best, it was to their advantage (to lose against Ruch – ed.), and as a club he lost PLN 400,000. zlotys. This was due to the final position in the table – said Boniek in a conversation with Roman Kołtoń.

Then, the former president of the Polish Football Association emphasized that he had not spoken personally to Kamil Glik. – I, God forbid, did not talk to Kamil Glik […] Everyone wonders why Kamil wrote that “he had been down many times, but never so humiliated”… Because he felt extremely humiliated. A footballer with such prestige and career… It’s hard to convince him or hold any grudges against him that he could have taken part in some “set-up”, let’s call it that. And apparently this is the president’s message – added Boniek, explaining the meaning of the words published by Glik.

Internet users accused the president of Cracovia of clarifying the whole matter with the former Polish representative. “Honestly, I don’t know what to say. I know I already took the medal, now I accused Kamil of selling the match . Honestly, what else did I do? I didn’t make any accusations towards the players regarding “fixing” the match. It’s so stupid “It’s hard to comment,” Dróżdż thundered on X. “But I talked to him this morning (with Glik – ed.), as I have been doing since I was in Cracovia. Please don’t look for things that aren’t there.” – he also added.

This is what players tell their managers. It all came out of the locker room. This is the perception of these words: “you didn’t feel like it, it looked like you had arranged it.” This was one hundred percent true – Zbigniew Boniek swore.

Do you believe in Zbigniew Boniek’s interpretation?
